Labour taking soo long!

So I was induced via a drip at 12pm as my waters had broken! It’s now 7pm and contractions are still irregular and I’m not dialting much either. Stayed in hospital for 12 hours before that too as they didn’t send me home after waters had broken so been here a long time.
I had an Epidural just after going on the drip so right at the beginning and I’ve been laying down for hours before that and still am of course.
I feel like this baby is never going to come as I’m not progressing! I’m worried it’s going to end up in a C section 😣
So worried and bored out my nut!
I don’t think I’m going to have the energy to push either as if I’ve been up for so long ..

Has anybody else’s induced long labour ended in a c section ?? So scared

I had pessaries (so was in hospital) for 3.5 days before my waters broke. Still nothing happened so I got the drip, DS was born 4 hours later. Be prepared it might get going quite quickly! Good luck!!

They checked hours ago I was only 2-3cm
They’re going to check again at 8pm but they don’t think much has changed :(
Fingers crossed it has!

@greaterthanthesumoftheparts

Wow that was really quick! I assumed it would be that quick too but they said everyone reacts differently. I also think it’s because I’ve had the Epidural right at the beginning that’s slowed it down and I haven’t been moving around at all

My DD seemed to take forever too! I was induced by drip around 12/1ish and she didn't arrive until 12.38 the following morning so near enough 12 hours! It will happen so quickly and it'll be worth the wait!

Good luck! Wishing you all the best with your LO Thanks
