Hello, I am booked in at UCLH and considering requesting an ELCS. I heard low risk women are sent to the Whittington for ELCS - is this true? And did anyone manage to have theirs at UCLH?

I had an elective at UCLH - there was no mention of transfer and I was low risk

@cannonball8726 My consultant at UCLH is talking about me having a planned CS and said that I may have to go to the Whittington for it!

I found this about it www.uclh.nhs.uk/PandV/PIL/Patient%20information%20leaflets/Planned%20elective%20caesarean%20section.pdf

Does anyone know why they won't tell you until 34-36 weeks if they will even do it?

Thanks @ElkieMacjibe that's really useful. I only saw a consultant at 33 weeks and they said they won't make a decision for a couple of weeks yet! Baby's due in 6 weeks and I don't know how or where I'm having it!

@hopeislost that sounds so stressful! I am early days with second baby (first at UCH too) and think I will be in the same boat 😫
