What is the best positioning of baby for the birth....

there are so many different postions that the babs can be in..
Which is classed as the best for delivery..

baby on the left
with the back of his head on the left hand side of the mother

Do you know why this is classed as the best position..!!

it means the smallest diameter of the baby's head is presenting through the widest part of the pelvis first, so therefore, the head being the biggest part, once that is through the pelvis, the rest should follow easily

also means that there is equal pressure applied to the cervix which helps make dilation quicker and steadier

ROA is fine too, not sure why LOA is better than ROA though

Isn't it because with ROA the baby sometimes goes posterior before getting into LOA? This is what happened with me and it took a looong time and was painful.

LOA is the shortest rotation needed to pass through the pelvis, with ROA the baby has to rotate a lot further meaning a longer labour.

My baby is ROL.. so does that mean that he will have even more turning etc to do to get out!!!

well maybe, how far on are you? babies move around quite a lot during the last few weeks of pg before they run out of room....
are you doing optimal foetal positioning?it can really help
