I’m being induced tomorrow (39 weeks) due to 3 episodes of reduced movements and having extra scans due to growth. I went into hospital last week MW said the bottom of my cervix was open 2cm however the top of cervix wasn’t but was very soft?
Just wanted to hear some stories of any women who have been in the same position? Slightly scared!!

I’m sorry you didn’t get any replies. I can’t help but I’ll bump this for you and maybe someone will be on now who can help.

Not helpful but I am in the same position re. reduced fetal movements & have been offered an induction and really don't know what to do as baby has since been moving but it makes me terribly anxious when he doesn't! Hope all goes well for you today!

I was induced at 39+4 for restricted growth & high BP, it was all quite relaxed and calm, not much happened for the first 24 hours so I just pottered around and watched films. When it got going (with just gel) it happened fairly quickly. I’m pregnant again now & wouldn’t be upset if I had to be induced again. The worst bit for me was hearing everyone who was further along, there was no pretending it wasn’t happening Blush

Good luck, hope it’s going well so far!
