Things that can help induce labour:

  • walk up stairs sideways
  • nipple stimulation
  • bouncing on gym ball
  • sex
  • walking
  • spicy foods

(The first 4 are most effective)

Hope this helps Smile xx

Nothing works apart from maybe a sweep but we don't get offered them here unless you are over your due date. I did everything and was still 13 days late, sorry.
Although if it helps you mentally by feeling proactive then go for it x

Nipple stimulation - constant! And walk up hills (whilst twiddling your nipples if you can Grin). Good luck!

Hi I’m now 38 +1 I’ve been up hospital today with bad cramps and tightenings and they checked me and I’m 2cm but when I’ve come home I’ve had a tiny bit of blood in my discharge what could this be?

It'll be a bloody show. It happens when you lose your mucus plug xx

Nipple stimulation is the only thing that works because it releases enough oxitocyn. Being upright (walking, bouncing etc) can help direct the pressure and start things that way. If you've had the bloody show and are 2cm, you're close! It will happen soon!

Is your hospital bag packed? Phone charge and has enough memory for photos? Are the cot sheets on? Good luck!!
