Uterine rupture/VBAC stories

Hey again. I had my c section 10 years ago on the 4th and due to hopefully have a VBAC on the 16th, although I’ve been having irregular mild contractions since Friday and lost some of my plug yesterday. My scar has been really pinching as he’s growing but the last 2 days it’s been more painful. The docs assure me a rupture is really unlikely but I was wondering if anyone had any stories to share that I could compare it to? Thank you

I had ds by ecs after a failed 28 hour labour 27 years ago then vbac 25 years ago with dd1 and then went on to have dd2 vaginally 3 years later. It went fine although at that time I had to fight tooth and nail for it and was not allowed a full epidural 'just in case' my labour started slowly waters broke at 38 weeks contractions started about 6hours later spontaneously DD was born naturally about 20 hours after my waters broke. Dd1 arrived weighing 7lbs 2oz. I had some stitches but recovery was far quicker than after my ecs. Things may be completely different now but that's my experience. Hope you manage to have the birth you want OP ☺️ x

I had a EMCS 3 years ago and despite some scar pain, I managed an amazing VBAC 3 months ago which was very quick, and honestly, amazing!

Thank you for your help! I’ve been contacting irregularly for 8 days now and lost my plug on Sunday just gone and I’m starting to think I’ll never actually get there. Had a growth scan yesterday (37 weeks exactly) and they said he’s measuring big for his gestation at 7lb 4oz. Obstetrician wanted to do a sweep because she thinks he’ll be too big for me but my first was 8lbs 14oz at 38 weeks! Also they said he’s be “about 5-6lbs” Hmm not quite. She couldn’t do the sweep at all because my cervix is still completely closed after so long. I’m all for letting him stay as long as he likes to keep getting stronger but I’m bloody uncomfortable.
Sorry for the long post
