Hi all

I’m fed up - had a sweep yesterday and was told I was 1cm dilated and still had thickening , then at 1am went into hospital as contractions were every 3-4mins. Unfortunately sent back home at 3am as still on 1cm dilated.

I’m in bed exhausted and deflated as still getting contractions but slowed right down to 40-1hr.

Has anyone else had this ? It’s hard as it’s my first child and I’m going to be a single Mum , so you feel like you’re in limbo with pain.

I know the limbo feeling as 40+9 at the moment. But well done you for doing it alone. Do you have your mum or someone close nearby supporting you? Try to relax and sleep as much as you can if you're not too uncomfortable and hopefully when labour fully kicks in it will be very quick as sounds like lots of prep is happening Smile

Thank you Etarip for you’re reply, It feels lonely at the minute in this limbo so appreciate any support. My mum is amazing but have so much happening, with my dad having heart issues in and out of hospital and Aunty going through breast cancer it feels like everyone is waiting for this baby to bring much needed happiness to us all. The stress keeps creeping in my head as my ex could turn up (he did after 6 months of abandoning us which was terrifying ) so I just feel so exhausted with it all and desperate to hold my baby and feel everything is going to be alright. The pain is intense but then it’s 30minutes until the next contraction and I’m panicking I’m nit going to get through endless days of this. I’m sure I’m not the only one after two sweeps that feels like this xx. Just going to continue snuggling up in bed with my bump and the (borrowed ) family dog lol x
