A quick tl;dr to cut through my rambling - what would you think if your consultant wrote "due at term if not delivered already" in your notes?
So I have had a few concerns this pregnancy, with baby measuring large despite no GD, also some polyhydramnios and reduced foetal movement.
After going in for reduced FM, I had an urgent scan booked for the next day, as well as a consultant appt. Had consultant appt before scan due to them having to slot me in, and he talked about possible induction/c section based on the results of the scan, but that it would be based on the results of the scan which he of course hadn't seen yet.
I expressed concerns about going beyond 40 weeks, he seemed understanding and had written in my notes "due at term if not already delivered".
I went for the scan and in a nutshell all is fine. Excess waters gone, baby measuring still large but not ridiculously so, and when the results were reviewed by ADAU they had no concerns.
I'm now confused about what I should make of the notes he has put. I have no MW appt until nearly 40 weeks and no consultant appt until after that. I thought it meant they would want me induced around my due date if I had not gone into labour by then, but my mum thinks it means that basically they won't be doing anything. But then why write "Due at term if not delivered" if that was the case? She thinks it's because he didn't know what the scan results would say, but then still surely it would be superfluous to write that if it meant no action was planned?
Sorry this was so long, just wanted to get it all in there as I'm obviously fixating on the idea of possibly being induced since my DD is now only 10 days away!
