My wife gave birth last night to a beautiful baby girl. It’s amazing, of course. But, oh my, I have found a whole other new layer of respect for women. The valiant bravery, grim determination and pure heartedness in facing pain or frightening, uncharted bodily sensation is so humbling. And the midwives perform a role that borders on religious sanctity. Cheers to you all. You’re amazing.
