TMI... What are clots supposed to look like?

Possibly a stupid question but errrrm I have never actually 'caught' one before but now (48hrs after) still losing a couple of big ones and getting very dizzy. MW who visited today said they should be stopping. Kind of looks like liver or kidney or something you'd use for cooking? Is that right?! 😳😳😳

Yes that's what they look like. However if they are bigger than golf ball sizes you need to speak to someone.

Thank you that's reassuring at least that it's what they should look like - it's different to what I imagined! But yes I think I will have to phone if any more appear as they said it should be stopping and they shouldn't get this big

After I had DC3 I had massive ones. One was the size of a dinner plate. MW wasn’t overly concerned, told me to not do so much but I had a 5yr and 3yr old so not doing much wasn’t really option!
Have you done anything that might have engaged your stomach muscles?

Hmm def get that checked. I never had much more than heavy clotting I get with periods. Was told any bigger than a 50p coin to get checked.

Thank you, yes I think it was 50p size I heard as the limit too.

Anyway I didn't get any more today other than a small one so I was going to leave it but then had one this evening approaching tennis ball size. So I bit the bullet and phoned the postnatal ward. Lovely midwife talked me through everything and said that it is hopefully ending now as I didn't bleed lots after it (previous ones it was dripping down my leg after) but to go in first thing if any appear overnight.
