If so, how many weeks were you when you gave birth?

Just interested really.

Nannyplumssillyoldelf Thu 05-Oct-17 22:48:31

Yes because it was the only date that month we had dtd. I gave birth at 39+6.

Mrsknackered Thu 05-Oct-17 22:49:46

I believe both conception dates with my children were wrong.

I was apparently 42+2 with the first and 39 weeks with the second.

My second conception date is impossible as I hadn't had sex in the 3 days before it or 2 days after! The first I believe is wrong because he was still covered in vernix and was only 7lb, the 2nd's placenta packed up and cord snapped during delivery (he's absolutely fine now btw)

Yes. 41+3 and 39+1.

BawbagBiggins Thu 05-Oct-17 22:51:05

Yup, Valentines Day 2004.

BawbagBiggins Thu 05-Oct-17 22:51:53

Sorry posted too early, conceived Valentines Day and born on due date.

Strokethefurrywall Thu 05-Oct-17 22:53:53

Yes, 11 January 2011 with DS1.

No clue with DS2.

Yes. CD9. We had sex once. Had an elective c section so not really answering your question sorry.

DramaAlpaca Thu 05-Oct-17 22:54:02

Yes to all three. They were born at 39+2, 40+5 & 39+2.

MintChocAddict Thu 05-Oct-17 22:58:22

No idea both times. Was miles out with DC1 and actually still haven't worked out the dates for DC2 as he's a mathematical mystery/immaculate conception if dating scans were to be believed.
DC1 was born weeks early (if scan dating was correct)
DC2 was two weeks late which may explain the immaculate conception!

Yes to both, as both times husband was working away before and after we DTD.

DS was given a due date that matched my calculated date, and was born on his due date.

DD was given a due date that was 5 days earlier than my calculated date, (which would have meant she was conceived whilst DH was away shock) and she arrived on my calculated due date. I like to think they've both inherited my ability to always arrive anywhere on time grin

I think it's often difficult to pinpoint exactly when you conceived, but obviously can remember dates when had sex!

Sometimes the sperm can hang around for a few days before fertilising the egg, or ovulation may be a day or so late.

I guess that's why they tend to calculate due date based on LMP first and then more accurately at the dating scan etc

But it's fun to work it out when DTD resulted in pregnancy etc!

I know I ovulated July 23 so we DTD that day. My DS was born April 22 so literally a day off nine months later! By weeks he was born at 40+7 but I like to say he was a day ahead of schedule!!

annlee3817 Sun 08-Oct-17 07:20:48

Yes as the condom broke lol. Going by my dates my DD was due 1st June. Scans put her five days earlier, she was actually born on 1st June smile but by their dates I was 40+5

speakout Sun 08-Oct-17 07:27:12

Yes, I know the day I conceived,, there was something really strange in the feeling of the night- OH and I just knew, I can't explain.
I was 39 + 6 when I gave birth.

SuperBeagle Sun 08-Oct-17 07:29:14

Nope, no idea with any of them.

DC1 was due November 29, born December 8.
DC2 was due May 30, born June 10.
DC3 was due April 28, born May 7.
DC4 was due January 9, born January 18.

All overdue.

Yep, I know the exact date of conception but DD was a pain in the womb arse and was induced early so we could both live!

daisyrosie Sun 08-Oct-17 08:13:32

Conceived 15/01/17, I made our due date 13/10/17 based on my cycle but this was changed to 7th at my 12wk scan. I’m 40+1 today so it will be interesting to see which date is closest!

FindTheLightSwitchDarren Sun 08-Oct-17 16:41:53

Don't know with first one as we were actively ttc so dtd a lot.

Currently pregnant and I can hazard a guess at conception date, as we were using a period tracker app as (half hearted) contraception before we were going to start trying for dc2 anyway. We dtd the day after my fertile window, so I would guess that's when I fell pregnant.

Thanks all for the responses! Daisyrosie good luck- do let us know how you get on!

daisyrosie Tue 10-Oct-17 22:41:53

Thank you, I will do. Saw my Midwife today and she said I will be induced by the end of next week if nothing happens before then.

NotAUserNumberSoNotATroll Tue 10-Oct-17 22:47:23

Yep DC1 born 38+6. scan dates make DC2 due on 13/10 but from conception and last gestation I think that's too early.....bored of waiting though. Knowing conception date doesn't make predicting due date any easier as there's no exact gestation time

Just a quick update for anyone interested...I ended up going into labour the evening of 17th October following the second sweep. I had the first contractions around 5pm, went to MLU at around 1am. Baby boy was born by EMCS weighing 8lb 9oz at 2037 on 18th October following failure to progress as baby had turned transverse. My labour was manageable throughout and I managed on Tens and g&a until I was given the spinal for c section. So although it didn’t go to plan it was a good experience, and the staff were all brilliant.
