Do your periods return to your usual cycle straight from child birth? I know they say your period will return soon after which it has - but if I was previously on a 35 day cycle will I now be back into that 35 day cycle?

When your period returns depends if you breastfeed. Some don't get periods for ages. A friend just got hers back after 18 months.

My periods are definitely different to pre pregnancy. I think that's quite common.

Possibly not.
I read that the sooner your periods return the less likely they are to be regular. It was true for me - back at 12 weeks despite exclusively BF babies, and all over the place (cycles 30-60 days!) for almost a year.

I'll admit I didn't track my cycle too closely before having my baby but I think I was pretty regular. Since having him I've got a very regular 29 day cycle, however they are MUCH heavier than they used to be unfortunately.

Oh and my periods started a month after I stopped breastfeeding when he was 10 months old.

I'm not breast feeding, my period returned 5 weeks after having him which would be normal but now if I am back on 5 weeks I'm late 🙄 done a pregnancy test which came back negative so just trying to figure out if that was too early or my periods really just wont have settled at all xx
