Has anyone tried hypnobirthing?
I'm looking at my options and feeling overwhelmed, where do I start?
Any suggestions ?
Thanks

I used the Maggie Howell book and MP3s, which worked for me. I know a lot of people who have done courses and found the social aspects useful as well as the actual hypnibirthing, but you don't have to do a course.

I completed a course and found it really useful, I delivered my little man on just gas and air and hypnobirthing techniques. Would strongly recommend to anyone open to it.

I'd recommend a course if you can, i found the the support of a teacher really helpful and it was nice to be involved in the get-together so with other families. I think mine was based around the Morgan method, good book, easy to follow. I went on to birth my big vbac baby at home, didn't use the gas and air but had it there in case I wanted it. I found it really helped my confidence and I felt empowered. I also felt more confident in my body and instincts and better prepared should I have to change from the plans I'd made for birth.

Yes I tried, but I didn't like it. I much preferred juju sundin's birth skills, which got me through labour with no pain relief other than the pool.
