Bruising post c section

Hi all

I had my third c section on Tuesday. Feel like I'm recovering ok, however looked at my scar this evening and there is a lot of bruising that wasn't there yesterday. I had a small amount of bruising on day 2 but seems to be spreading, and under my scar is a bit red. No oozing, scar itself looks fine.

Didn't have this with my first two, will ask midwife tomorrow but anyone else have bruising develop a few days after a section to put my mind at rest?

Thanks

Yes, I had a emcs 11 days ago and got a fair bit of bruising under my scar. In my experience bruising often appears after a couple of days

Yes, I had my 3Rd section last year and had a lot of bruising. The surgeon warned me during the delivery that I had a torn abdominal muscle that she was repairing ; that was the cause of it. the upper half of my abdomen was very blue and rigid and it caused my wound to open slightly. Sounds awful but it healed pretty fast and actually the antibiotics were the worst part of it for me. I'm glad that was the last time though!
Hope you heal up soon. I hear that natural births get easier as you go, but can't say the same for cesareans.
