35 weeks and baby very low down

Hi :)

Went to see consultant today as having large baby again. When she felt baby she said that it was extremely low down for 35 weeks and third baby and she wouldn't be surprised if it wouldn't come early - any thoughts on this? Is that based on any science or partial wishful thinking if baby might come a week or so early?

I've really no idea I'm afraid - because I was just about to post asking the same thing! Also my third, also 35 weeks. MW appt next week so no idea of position of baby but I am getting lightening crotch type feelings, lots of pressure on my pelvis and vagina and it's making me waddle! Also lots of low level period type pains/sensations.

One can but hope!

I'm afraid how low or engaged the baby is has nothing to do with when labour will start.

Boo Smile Am really at the stage of hoping it would be over soon. The wishful thinking is awful!

My also large baby is very low down but my midwife told me this is very normal as it's my 3rd.
I've had a thread on here once about it and others agreed they were told the same.

Ah that's a bummer as I was told it was unusual lol and not to expect to go too much longer. Maybe she was just saying it to try and make me feel better about baby being so big - boo x
