I've never really known the answer to this so thought I ask.

Think it was about 4 weeks for us - depends on what you feel comfortable with I s'pose.

Jesus Mahosefah, are you serious? Red hot lovin'? How about red soggy sheets?

Even if I had been completely barking and pain-addicted, I don't think dh would have relished the prospect of making sweet lurve to a pile of partially-sewn-together chopped raw steak

I'm pretty much of the cod camp.....although was told that we could have sex once the post partum flow stopped.
Then the M/w went on to ask me what I was thinking about contraception wise. I told her celibacy and utterly meant it....seriously I did (not too sure how dd2 happened a mere 19 months later)

DS was born 6 months ago and I'd still rather set fire to my fanjo than use it for any rude purpose.

LOLOL I knew the "red hot lovin" bit would have you all recoiling in horror.

We've never waited until after the 6 wk check BTW...I just wondered if there was a definate answer to this.

oh...my......god...

fwiw i think the official line is take it slowly, lots of lube, and fine as long as you are both ready for it. i for one was certainly in no mood what so ever until maybe a month ago...dd is now 9 months old.

Respect

I used to wake up in the morning and calculate how much I had, had.

And if I went to bed by X time, how much could I get.

inever had a 6 week check after DD (we moved house and I forgot all about the appointment and then couldn't be bothered to make another one) Does that mean that I still shouldn't be having sex??!! - DD is nearly 2 btw!
