I've had the good and the bad and not sure what birth will be next

Hi everyone. After some guidance/advice.

My first delivery was horrendous - epidural , failed ventoose and long struggle with forceps and a lathe episiotomy and my dd1 was born with a lot of crying and I think she had a lot of headaches. In putting my legs in the position needed for the birth I ended up with serious post natal spd. Recovery from stitches and also spd was weeks and weeks, also ended up with anal fissures.... just all really unpleasant.

Second delivery no pain relief other than paracetamol and tens machine. Delivery text book, natural tear that was stitched again no pain relief. recovery immediate. Happy baby.

So I'm not pregnant with no3. And I'm anxious as hell. I won't make the same mistakes as birth 1 but I also know there is no way I can get another like birth no2. And I am a full 8 years older.

I am having thoughts of a c section Confused wwyd?

I'm in a similar position. With a similar age gap too. I was induced with my first two, first was horrendous, second pretty good. Got 11 days until due date! Feeling anxious as I don't know what to expect

Hi sj do you think you may be induced again? What birth options have you been talked through?

And sorry in my post it should say "now pregnant with no3" Smile

My first and second sound identical to yours. My third....well she's here and that's all that matters Grin

It was a totally unique birth again. She came out baby to bac and face up in the water. Very very tough labour and I REALLY had to work. But I knew what I was doing.

jaxing well done on getting through it!
It's true I'll know what I'm doing but I am worried about the spd returning and also of my poor fanjo taking another cut or tear. My friend has her third last year and is still or able to sneeze or go on a trampoline without protection if you get my drift Blush

I don't have any incontinence, I think because if strong muscles from horse riding, but I do feel rearranged down there. Not to happy about it!

Good luck, I'm sure you'll do great. It is different when you know what it's all about.
