What does she need?

My wife is soon going into hospital to have our second child by c section, I want to get her some things she will need/want afterwards in the hospital (4 days), can anyone suggest some items please?

Comfortable nighty or pjs that are soft on her tummy :)

Slippers

Decent hair brush

Shampoo and conditioner

Pads and massive knickers :(

Favourite drinks

Anything nice to make her feel thought about would be a really lovely idea :)

Nice drinks/snacks she may enjoy a magazine if she enjoys that maybe a nice soap and body scrub to help her feel pampered,
Night clothes dressing gown slippers
Toiletries hairbrush make up if she wears it
Lots of big knickers lots of pads Breast pads
Small amount of change wouldn't suggest notes
Camera or phone for photos

4 days? Have they said why?

I was due a CS recently and was told I could go home after 24 hours if all went well, 48 at the most.

I second the drinks and snacks, and good reading material

Night soft clothing for her to come home in, I'm thinking maternity leggings and comfy jumper. Stuff that won't press on her scar.

Big knickers - you want the kind of "full briefs" sold by m and s which come all the way up to the waist, two sizes bigger than her normal knickers. This will give room for the pads, her tummy will still be big, and they won't hurt her scar.

A good supply of carrier bags, there's never anywhere to put stuff in the shower room so if you have a few carrier bags you can hang them on the door to keep clean and dirty stuff separate and both not soaking wet from the wet bathroom floor!
