I did the tracks that came with the book Mindful Hypnobirthing - don't think I even finished the book. I was in labour with DS for 40 minutes, but was induced and 11 days late. So, dunno! Did find it v relaxing though!

Purchase the Natal Hypnotherapy book called Birth Preperation by Maggie Howell (I think that's her name). It's brilliant, easy to read 1 chapter a night and turned my thought process on childbirth 360 degrees. I was so scared and I actually became excited and looking forward to the birth which I thought was impossible.

The Natal Hypnotherapy cd's were great too, nicer voices than the Hypnobirthing which I believe is an Amercian version.

My friend has twice with just a book. I was sceptical before hearing her experience, but I'm trying the Maggie Howell book & cd this time, couple more weeks to go so can't comment on effectiveness but I'm definitely feeling more confident & relaxed in the lead up.

I've also used the Natal Hypnotherapy books and CDs. They really helped me, especially during the later stages of labour. I listened to the CDs most nights and I found lots of the phrases came back to me and helped keep me calm.

I second Maggie Howells birth preparation book - I didn't use the cds or downloads and it really helped me relax and prepare for labour. Actually really enjoyed the whole labour experience too!

Yep, I used the Maggie Howell boom and MPs as well. My labour was pretty good: quick and fairly intense but not particularly painful.

Good luck!
