Do I call them?

Hi,

Im 37+5 and since yesterday I've been having period like cramps, and some contractions (Not regular but they will come every 10 minutes for 40 mins then go away for hours) I had a sudden loose stool yesterday and I've been feeling very breathless and emotional and struggling to sleep.

I also have a dull ache in my back.

I'm not sure if this is early labour (i've had no 'show' or anything like that) and my birth unit is very busy. I don't want to call them and waste their time if it's just braxton hicks and a result of the hot weather/end of pregnancy.

This is my second pregnancy but with DS1 I was induced early so I never experienced any of this 'is it labour' symptoms.

Shall I call or just wait it out?

Just wait it out unless you have been told to get yourself there early e.g. Group b strep infection or other complications. As long as baby is still moving well too. Monitor it and if regular and close together get yourself to the hospital. Don't worry about wasting their time though.
