Ds1 it was day 3 this time I seem to have skipped it until day 11 now I'm very weepy. I googled it and a few pages mentioned pnd starting day 10 I'm hoping this is not the start of it. I was very depressed with ds1 though I refused to admit it hoping this time will be different it certainly feels different just a bit emotional rather than a black hole

I didn't have PND, but spent the first 2/3 days post-birth crying over the most ridiculous of things. I cried hysterically when we were discharged from the hospital because I thought Dd looked way too small in her car seat to possibly be safe it in Hmm then I was alright again (other than being exhausted!) for about a week, and then I started crying over everything again!! Hormones do bizarre things to you!

I think crying any time in the first 3 months is entirely normal.

Crying once does not make post natal depression. It is definitely some thing to keep an eye on. Remember depression is a chemical imbalance and you should seek help for it if you have it.

Day 2. Husband asked if I was okay - hadn't even realised I was crying. It lasted about 24hrs. But I just felt a little bit like I wasn't connected to my body. I woke up the next morning & felt fine again.

I understand why it's made you nervous, and it's good to speak up if you do feel it could be the start of PND but please remember most women will experience a short spell of 'Blues'.
