Hello all c-sectioners! Firstly I was wondering, for anyone who's been pregnant after a cs, what does the scar feel like? Are you still quite aware of it, or does it feel back to normal by then? I'm only 4 months pp, but would like to have another one in a year, or longer if that's unsafe.

Also, did anyone's vagina close up after the op?? I went through a long labour first, and didn't really want a cs initially, but was trying to look on the bright side, thinking that at least my vagina wouldn't have gone through so much, and that sex would be easier. We had sex after six weeks and it was very painful and felt like it had telesales itself, maybe through lack of use Smile
I am just interested to see if that's normal. Maybe the body naturally contracts the vagina after labour? Hmmm.
Thank you.
A

I have had 3, the last 8 months ago and can't feel my scar.

The sex thing is hormonal, delivery method makes no difference.

I had vbac (vaginal birth after csection). It's only dangerous if you have health complications, your scar hasn't healed completely or it ruptures during pregnancy/labour. You'll be monitored throughout your pregnancy. My Doctor recommends leaving 18 months between pregnancies(although some woman have a smaller gap and they're fine) especially cs because it takes a long time to heal internally. You might not need a cs for your next baby.
The sex thing is normal too, even after a cs. It's hormone related (worse if breastfeeding). Plenty of lube and take it slow, it takes some time before it feels "normal" again.

I've had two sections and will be having a third in 13 weeks. Almost two years on from the last one, I have a very minimal scar and never experienced any issues with it. I was advised to have two years between sections to give you the best opportunity to heal before everything starts stretching, but know lots of people who weren't told this.

I'm pregnant with my second. Only just though. Ds is 11 months. Yes the sex thing does appear to be normal but I didn't realise at the time! Bit of a surprise.

I've had one CS, ten months ago, and my scar still twinges and is a bit sore. I was told to leave it 12 months before thinking about another pregnancy, although we plan to wait for longer. Might see if I can get someone to take a look at it if it still twinges at a point where we're thinking about TTC.

The sex thing is normal! I assumed it was related to hormone levels.
