Waters?

Was about to take a shower this morning and sneezed and thought I wet myself a wee bit, got cleaned up and hopped in the shower and thought no more of it. I'm 37 weeks, could that have been my waters? It wasn't a lot. This was about 11.45 Baby is still happily moving about. Not had any cramps or anything. Maybe a very slight pain but I don't know if I'm imagining things or creating symptoms. I've put a pad on to monitor. Tried phoning triage but line was busy?

If you thought you had wet yourself then the chances are you had. Pop a pad on to see if anything else comes and phone triage again to see what they say.

Waters either "pop" like in the movies with a sudden gush - but they can also trickle. I think I got caught out as mine trickled but I got told that it was just lack of bladder control (!). I think in hindsight my waters has broken. Best to get checked out as if they have gone you'll need to be induced.

Can you lie down for a little while? 30 mins or so. If you can, if you're waters are leaking you'll have a little gush as you stand as they pool inside when you lay down. This is most likely what the MW will get you to do when you get through to triage.

I'll give that a try, thanks!

Mine started with a very small gushes that was pink in colour and every time I got up from sitting a little more came out, three hours later niagra falls. Keep trying triage if you're unsure.

I think I must've wet myself lol, the pad isn't wet and I've not had any contractions. Thanks again for helping! It's all new to me

If it smells of wee...it is wee! I've had a v bad cough for about 2 months that has highlighted my lack of pelvic floor exercise...a few times I've thought my waters have gone (now o/d) but no!
