And I'm right in the middle of bloody batch cooking!!

Fish pie is only 1/3 done, lasagne needs assembling and the curries are currently just plain chicken.

I'm meant to be having an ELCS so do I finish cooking or run to hospital?!

I don't know whether it would be the same for everyone but my Obs told me to go straight in if waters went as they wouldn't want the labour to progress. Good luck OP Flowers

Oh no, ickle! I'd get to the hospital asap unless you don't mind going into labour and having the baby naturally. How many weeks are you? Good luck! X

Well I had 31 and 38 hours respectively between waters and cs so I'd whip up a cake or two as well. Grin

Seriously, ring the hospital to check.

I knew I should have started this earlier, will call them now and see if mum could pop round to finish my cooking if dp does it good poisoning is inevitable

I'm 37+5 with my first so didn't imagine this happening before my date next Thursday!!

Maybe order a taxi to the hospital and finish cooking in the meantime....

My waters broke the night before (trickle not a flood though) contractions started the following morning and went to hospital around lunch time so in my experience you've got time but ring your maternity unit to check in case. Good luck OP

If you weren't having an elective c section is say you have time- but as you are, I'd get there asap.

Ahh good that youve gone in to be checked. They may send you home with instructions to come back by a set time for an elcs, rather than doing it tonight.

Good on your mum for stepping in with the food!

Was only hind waters so wasn't whisked away as an emergency, just hanging about waiting for a slot about to eat my own arm in hunger

Mum sent me photos of all my dinners nicely boxed and labelled, she is such a star!

I'm getting impatient now though, want to meet little pickle!!

Oooh exciting op.
Glad your batch cooking didn't go to waste.
Hope they find you a slot soon. I had a wait of 4 days! Hoping it's quicker for you.
