Is any one booked for a c section on the 27-08-15? How do you feel?
I had Emcs 2years ago at 2.30 am after a massive bleed and had a long and bad recovery resulting into a re admission to hospital with a 5 day old baby , this is a planned section but Iam so terrified please tell me things will be ok this time round ,

I had an elective c-section with DC2 following an emergency c-section (and a whole catalogue of horrors after it) with DC1. I can honestly say that the planned section was wonderful. It was a totally different experience to the panic and drama of an emergency section after 13 hours of labour! We talked, laughed, played music and really got the chance to welcome DC2 into the world. I actually went into labour 2 days before the planned section date but it was all very calm and no fuss was made; I just went in sooner! I was up and about much, much sooner, although I decided to stay the full 3 days in hospital knowing I was going home to a manic toddler! I was back driving again by 4 weeks post part in and didn't have any scar issues whatsoever. A thoroughly lovely and healing experience. Best of luck OP Flowers

I had mine yesterday! You'll love it. There's nothing to be scared of, just excited.

Congratulations! I've had 2 emergency c-sections and the second one was was better. I knew what to expect, it wasn't nearly as sore as I remembered and recovery was much quicker.

With it being a planned section, yours will be even calmer. The only thing worth remembering is that you will get bumped down the list every time an emergency comes in, so you might have a bit of (hungry and thirsty!) waiting around.
