From not engaged to labour. How long?

Yes I know, how long is a piece of string! But due to be induced on Monday at 39+6 and not wild about it. As of today, baby not engaged at all. Is it completely unrealistic to hope it will a) engage and b) start labour (or at least start to dilate) before Monday. Or am I kidding myself.

Any stories to cheer me up, or at least make me face reality!

You pretty much said it....how long is a piece of string! :( but walking (a lot) bouncing on a birthing ball, walking up and down stairs sidwways and sex are great ways of getting baby to move down and possibly start something. Why are they inducing you? Is it for other reasons. I went a week over with my DD and being induced was never offered.

Induction day to my age, but that's a separate thread Wink. Am trying all those things, but just wondering how quickly it really can change.
