induce labour?!

I'm 40 weeks tomorrow and if baby hasn't made an appearance by Wednesday I will end up having a section (they won't induce me due to medical reasons) desperate to have this baby naturally... I was thinking of booking a pregnancy massage to try and get things moving, has anyone else tried this with a positive experience? Or any other suggestions? I've been very active, tried having sex, bouncing on my ball, scrubbing the floors on my hands and knees every other day, I'm slowly going insane...

Sounds frustrating! Best thing to do would be to relax. Pregnancy massage would help with this. Some people say acupuncture and reflexology can be helpful but I have no idea! Have you Googled natural ways to get things going? Just avoid castor oil!

Yeah I've read the usual... sex, walks, pineapple, raspberry leaf tea. I can't eat pineapple as I hate the stuff and will never be that desperate lol tried all the rest. I think your right about being relaxed I went into natural labour on my induction date with my first and I definitely think that's because I kind of gave up on trying to bring labour on, will be booking the massage for Monday hopefully I won't be needing it.

Apparently with pineapples you'd have to eat about four of the bloody things to have any effect!

I was told that the only scientifically proven methods were sweeps and sex (due to the hormone in semen stimulating the cervix). So perhaps beg your midwife for a sweep or two before Wednesday and in the meantime, go get jiggy!

That said, I did reflexology and would do acupuncture next time. Just in case.

I got told it was better to swallow semen - genuinely - gets to wherever it's supposed to be more efficiently. It was a midwife who told me this, at 42 weeks pregnant, after a sweep when she knew I'd refuse induction.

Fast rotations on birthing ball got mine going both times.
Also had reflexology second time around and was in labour less than 48 hours after.

Still here, still no baby. Currently doing fast rotations on my ball
