Morning ladies , I was at hospital for my consultants appointment she did mention that there is a possible of severe bleeding after baby has been delivered and I completely forgot to ask her whether the bleeding was more severe after a normal virginal delivery or a c section .

Am 29 weeks preg with a previous section and a dd that is 23 months . My consultant thinks I can try for a normal delivery this time round but will decided after my 36 week growth scan

Does any one have any info about severe bleeding after delivery due to fibroids and which birth method causes the bleeding more please shed a light

I have fibroids, too. As I understand it, the risk of pph is because the fibroids can interfere with the ability of the uterus to contract down hard after the birth. Those contractions help stop any bleeding where the placenta has come away, and they happen after vaginal and c section births. So I think (could be wrong!) that the pph risk would be about the same.

Mine caused a lot of pain during pregnancy, but no bleeding, thank goodness. Hope yours don't cause you any trouble!
