Does anyone know when you are supposed to start mointoring your babies movemenets. I am 24 weeks and some days i feel her alot and others not some much, i have been told that my placenta is at the front if that makes a difference?

I think it was from either 24 weeks or not long after that I was told to keep an eye on movements. Placenta at the front can definitely muffle things - I didn't feel movement at all until around 22 weeks when I had an anterior placenta.

The thing I was told is that baby may have quieter periods of the day when it moves less but it's a change in the usual pattern of movements that you have to look out for - so if he always wriggles like mad at night but is quiet in the morning then don't necessarily worry, but do watch out for reduced movements at a time when he is normally very active.

I'm not a professional at all though, just had quite a few babies!

I'd make a note of the times that you get movement, you'll probably start to notice a pattern that way. but round here it's 24 weeks that they expect there to be regular movement.
