Birth plan in maternity notes

I am 40+1 so looking for things to do. Now I may just be being a bit think but where in my green folder am I supposed to make any notes about my birth plan? Don't want to take up midwife and Dr space.

Also I have been lucky to have a very normal and boring pregnancy (just how I like itGrin ). Most of my green notes are blank for example pages 21-28 have not even been looked at. Tends to be things like lifestyle and labour information. Should I have been talked through this lot?

My birth plan is a separately typed piece of paper that I have just slotted on top of my notes. Midwife said this was fine. There was space in my notes for info on it but mainly as a prompt on what to think about.

Regarding the blank bits, I think those are more to do with during pregnancy than afterwards. I wouldn't worry about them unless you have concerns, in which case maybe give your midwife a call to chat them through?

Also 40+1 here today and waiting impatiently for any sign going!

Thanks a lot barmybunting. I have done the same thing, extra piece of paper, OH knows where it is in my notes and what it looks like.

Good luck. Hope you don't have to wait too long. X

Sounds like it should be ok then catg. As long as your DH knows what you want, I am hoping all will be fine Smile.

Best of luck, I hope your baby appears soon!
