How long after birth till my hormones settle down?

I had a gorgeous little girl 4 weeks ago by ELCS and I'm besotted with her. We're doing fine and physically I've recovered really well. My hormones are all over the place though so I'm sometimes irritable and tearful but other times really happy and chirpy. I feel like I've got PMT and keep snapping at poor DH. When did this feeling go away for you? Is this normal?

4 weeks is nothing, it may take you Afew months for your hormones to settle down. With my first child it took me almost a year before I felt myself again, it's a huge emotional and physical change that you go through so don't worry you will eventually get back to your old self :)

Enjoy your little girl they grow up too fast!

We're 20 weeks post delivery tomorrow- hormones are gradually settling- particularly now I've had my first period (and am still EBF) :-)

Honestly? With my first, I felt almost normal by six months. With second, it was much, much quicker.
