It could well be. Maybe give the midwife a quick ring to put your mind at rest and get back to bed for a while.

Best of luck Thanks

Oooh sounds like it could be!

Quick call to the midwife then have as much rest as you can!

Give mat ward a call they'll tell you if you need to go down

I would get some rest if possible. Even if it's just lying down. It sounds very early. Worth calling about the blood though.

The blood will most likely be your mucus plug. If you really can't rest, do something creative like bake a cake or draw a picture or tidy a drawer Grin

Soon you'll meet your beautiful baby! Keep posting if it helps!

I hope this is it for you op. You need to get some rest because if it is then today will be a long day. Both my labours started in the early hours of the morning. If it's getting a little too sore take some paracetamol and go try watch something funny that you don't have to think about on tv. Lie of the couch and try and relax. Good luck xxx

So reassuring to have people to MN with, it's scary seeing blood even though I know it's normal.... Just bouncing and watching a silly film

Oooh how exciting Grin

Have you found out if it's going to be a boy or a girl? Or are you in for a surprise?

Have you decided on names yet?

I'm really not going to want to go to work today now! But I'll check in when I can and I don't have to leave for a couple of hours yet! Actually, a home birth before then would suit me if you don't mind Grin

Not much happening, cafe, just trying to rest up though cramps are making that tricky. How'm I supposed to know the difference between BH's and contractions??
We are expecting a girl btw....

Contractions are usually relatively regular and don't go away if you walk around & have a glass of water

Good luck op!

Hi flymo

Gosh poor you. I followed your thread yesterday - I am 39w5d and in a v e r y slow early phase of labour that is driving me mad! Has been stop-start for about a week.

Can you take a couple of paracetamol to help you get some sleep? (Should take my own advice....)

Coughle · 06/08/2014 04:24

Some ideas:

Hot shower
Yoga - cat/cow is especially good
spinningbabies.com/techniques/activities-for-fetal-positioning/rebozo-sifting
The above link is used for positioning but it's also a wonderful relaxation technique

Do whatever you can to relax even if you don't sleep.
