Had a little man 10 weeks ago. Been told I have a large hernia. Anyone else : /. It's not causing any problems.

I had a paraumbilical hernia (not related to childbirth).

It wasn't causing problems at the time but I was aware that something was sticking out around my belly button.

I had minor day surgery to repair it. Felt completely back to normal after 3 weeks.

You need to sort it out though. If you leave it, it can become 'strangulated', which means that the blood supply to the herniated bit of your gut can become cut off. Then you'd be looking at emergency surgery.

But that can take a while, so dont freak out!
