Just wondering really as i went into labour at 10.30-11 at night with ds and my dm said her mum had her and her brother at night as did she with me.
also noticed on mn that most women are going into labour at night or early hours of the morning.

So anyone go into labour in Asda during the day:-o

Yes, during the day, I wasn't in Asda though, I was on the sofa watching Neighbours!

I was walking through the school doors when my waters went, contractions didn't start until just after 8.00pm though.

nope, waters broke in the evening, contractions all night. stopped in the morning, started again in the evening and gave birth at 4am. I don't think my body wants to be in labour during the day.

Both times for me I had midwife appointments for sweeps in the morning and both told me I was dilating and "in labour". But contractions/pains did not start in either case until the evening.

With DC2 I was very consciously thinking "wait until DC1 is in bed". Of course the little madam took forever to go to sleep that night! But once she was asleep....the contractions really started in earnest!

Both babies were born at dawn, give or take.

My DC2, my waters went at lunchtime, but labour didn't start, and I was induced the next day.

DC3 labour started at about 5pm. (He was born at 9.45pm)

My second labour started about 2pm while watching the French Open tennis final. She arrived at quarter to 7 that evening.

No I don't Latin :) The call to say I was coming into hospital was interesting as it is 40 minutes away and I wasn't in labour at the point I rang them, I just knew that things were going to start soon. First contraction was as I reached the maternity ward.

Lost my plug at 3:30pm, waters went at about 7pm, dd born at 8:41!

Was an amazing experience (home water birth) so whilst the ease of it should reassure me that another time would be ok, the thought of it being quicker next time, as most second births seem to be, scares the bejesus out of me.

I went into labour in the afternoon for my first and evening for my second. Laboured overnight with both, and my first was delivered just after midday, my second at just before 10am. My mum went into labour during the day with my brother in the day, and delivered a couple of hours later.

Yup, in waitrose. 9am.

Slowed down a bit then kept going, DS was eventually born at 7pm the next day.

DD however was a classic overnight labour.
