Dd4 is 9 days old and even though she was 10.5lb it was a normal delivery with no stitches (don't judge meWink) and my only problem is when I need to poo.

I have felt sore and a bit bruised and battered all week but nothing you would not expect down there.

Pooing is another story though, after birth on the fri I first went to the toilet on the Monday, was fairly normal followed by the runs a hour later. After that though I did not poo till sat (yest) and it was horrendous. I'm not constipated but I felt like I was in labour having really strong contractions and was doubled over in pain, I had to run to the toilet and I did it easily and the pain went.

Tonight I have just done the same thing, stood normally in kitchen when I suddenly doubled over and felt sick with the pain and had to get to the toilet as fast as possible and once I had been the pain was away again.

I'm wondering if it may just be internal bruising which will fix itself over the next few days or if there is anything I should worry about.

Sorry about all the details!

Congrats on your baby daughter!
My DS was born 2.5 years ago and at the time the midwife said I didn't "need" stitches as my tears were very minor. She said I'd heal fine without but she'd give me 3 individual ones in different areas to speed healing time. Fast forward 18 months I discover I have a rectocele. Fast forward to last week, my gyno said I had an untreated second degree tear to my perineum that needs to be fixed. The tearing was mostly below the skin so the midwife missed it at the time. I was never called for a follow up and so never got checked again. I remember feeling very sore and bruised but I was able to wee and poo without stinging within a couple of days so I thought I was fine.
I just want to suggest you get yourself thoroughly checked for damage. And in the meantime do not strain on the loo. Your pelvic floor has taken a beating and is weakened while it heals. I strongly recommend a good fibre supplement. It makes a massive difference. I've been using one called ispaghula husk and it's magic. See what your doctor or pharmacist recommends. Best of luck and congrats again on your darling baby girl.

I had a emcs 3 weeks ago after being induced but had/have the same symptoms you describe.
It gets better, the past couple of days i have been much more normal, your body is just healing itself.
