Discharge or muscus plug?

I am 34+3 weeks pregnant with my first baby, i have been having braxton hicks since last night and i have just been to the toilet and saw a big jelly like clear blob (sorry for tmi)
Would this just be discharge or my plug?

How jelly-like? I remember mine being like half-cooked poached egg. It went on for hours, every time I thought it might have finished there was more. It was slightly stained with brown blood, I don't know if that's normal though.

If you get more of this discharge overnight I'd recommend calling the maternity unit tomorrow morning. Hopefully at 34w it will just be discharge but if you get any more, it wouldn't hurt to talk to a mw or get it checked.

I havent had any brown colour in it, its abit looser than a poached egg

Just saw your other thread of the PG board too. Don't ever worry about 'bothering' the mws. Any more discharge and I'd definitely give them a call.

When you say you've been having Brixton hicks are you sure? Ring your delivery suite and check with them it's always worth a call.

Everybody feels contractions and/or braxton hicks differently. I didn't even know I was having contractions to start with I thought they were hot flushes and that was with my second. If you feel in doubt call the delivery suite they're there to help you and even if its nothing a call will put your mind to rest. Never a wasted call. Sorry I hate to seem like a worry wort but I'd always check with a professional. Smile
