Hi everyone,

I'm new here; 36+2 into my first pregnancy.

I passed what I'm pretty certain must have been the bloody show at 7am this morning and am quite panicked, the baby's room isn't ready yet! Excited though :)
How long did everyone wait after this happening? I understand it varies but any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Took about 4 days but I didn't progress well so should have been quicker. Good luck and congratulations.

I passed my show over about 4 days but I'm still not in labour yet and I'm 6 days over now.

Sorry to say but it still could be days away but considering you're not at term yet that's not a bad thing.

I'd ring your MW, if I were you, just because you're not yet 37 weeks. Give her the heads up.

I had a bloody show at about 8.30am when I was 36+4. I went to hospital to get checked as i was under 37w. They kept me in for monitoring and labour kicked off at 11pm and DD2 was born at 3am the next morning!
It's different for everyone but this could be it - good luck!

Had a bloody show 2 weeks ago and as I was 36 weeks the hospital kept me in overnight. Had one painful contraction but nothing else, monitoring was all ok so was discharged the next day. Currently 38 weeks and no signs of baby arriving. This is dc3 for me and every birth and pregnancy is different.

Thank you for your replies! Luckily I had my 36 week appointment that morning and the midwife said to be prepared but nothing yet...

Similar situation - I had a bloody show last week at 34+2 - phoned midwife but she didn't seem in the least concerned! Said call back if waters break or I start having regular contractions. Had nothing since apart from a few twinges. Feeling very confused - can it be a way off yet? Like... maybe a month (please)?
