hi everyone

sorry if this is a little too much info but i need a little advice...

usually when ive gone for a wee its just a small amount and trickles out but this morning i got out of bed, went to the loo and my god it was like a wee from before i was pregnant! it gushed out and there was quite a lot of it. it was yellow coloured but i couldnt smell if it was urine or not (mind u my nose is constantly stuffy)

does anyone have an opinion on this and what i should do? im not having any pain or contractions - im 36+6wks.

thanks in advance

x

It does sound like it could be, but as cantbelieve said, lie down for half an hour, if its your waters they'll pool inside, and you'll have a rush of fluid as you stand. Good luck!

Found out with first pregnancy that you have two sets of waters. In my case the hindwaters (???) broke first but the main waters didn't, they had to be amniohooked. If in doubt go to maternity, don't shower as I did as it washes away the amnio fluid and you will fail the test. If your waters have broken you must stay in hospital . DS came at 36 +6, good luck

I had this happen to me last week, but it turned out to just be wee. Baby must have just moved temporarily off my bladder or something.

They can check for you at the hospital and honestly won't mind at all. It isn't always obvious if your waters only trickle slowly, like mine did last time.

Best to get checked than guess and leave it.
