in a nutshell my first labour was easy, my waters broke at start of labour so no doubt labour had started. This time round not sure! (sounds stupid I know).

Not sure f what I'm having now are the real deal or contracts. Had regular check up with midwife this morning. Baby 'very low'.

Due date s Mon

Sorry....that didn't make much sense! Am having 'contractions' but they might not be the real thing. Based on last time my pain threshold is quite high...I was 9cm before they examined me. I had to force them to examine me as first midwife I saw at hospital said she 'doubted contractions were regular enough to do a lot'.

Guess I can just sit it out and I'll know but midwife panicked me this morning by going on about how low baby was & when I told her that I'd been having tightening over past week, she said not to let it go on too long!

Have you had any other symptoms? A show? Runny bum? I seem to be Avignon lots of tightening s and had a show 2 wks ago, but nothing proper doing tho I'm only 39+1. I would say that if nothing else your tightening s need to be sustained and at regular intervals for you to be in labour. Good luck! Thanks

Thanks. Thought it might get going last night but no change. Feel a bit nauseus this morning and still tightening but no major symptoms. So will just carry on, & try to put it to the back of my mind. Good luck to you too!

It's putting it to the back of your mind that's so tricky isn't it?! Not long now tho' & why we are in such a hurry lord only knows as it' s far more knackering once they've arrived! Grin
