Was just wondering, what is the heaviest baby you've heard of being born amongst friends and family?

Yikes! Well done! I read online yesterday that apparently if a baby has a high birth weight, they are more likely to be intelligent!

The shop where I bought my wedding dress said a lady came in with her baby to have a look....he weight 14lb at birth, something like the highest on record that year! Terrifying!

DS2- 10 ibs 11 oz
DS3- 10 lbs 12 oz-4 months ago.

DS1 was 'only' 9 lbs 7 oz! Grin

No stitches with any of them, or epidurals. had great midwives and did what I call a 'controlled exit'!

And they are born so mature, DS3 held his head up 5mins after birth. They seem much sturdier too.

Gosh, I take my hat off to you!

You must have eaten your greens when you were pregnant!

My great uncle was 14lb apparently. My great nana was only 5 foot tall. Do i need to add she suffered a prolapse, or is that obvious?

My cousin had a baby who was 12lb. My DS2 was 8 months old at the time and weighed the same! (DS2 was FTT though).

My DS was 10lb 11oz and 24 inches long. I had what was effectively an ELCS as he didn't descend. My induction failed and I refused to let them PROM.

My brother was 10lb 12oz. Apparently my Nan was around the 13lb mark bit I'm not sure how true that is.

Luckily for me it would seem that big babies don't run in the family. Though DS did have a massive head (39cm-99th centile)
