muffin top c-section gets better

I had a c-section a year ago. i have always had a flat stomach and was a bit depressed as i didn't know anything about the muffin top you get after it! It stuck out at first about two inches! I thought i wouldn't be able to wear a dress again without this odd bump. just want to reassure people, it will go down dramatically. mine is flat now but if you run your hand over it you can feel the slightest bump. it doesnt show at all with clothes.

i wish someone had told me about it before! I know along with stretch marks floppy boobs, v veins and losing your perenium, these things can add to post natal depression! If u were always healthy before, there should be no reason you cant be again. i also recommend dry brushing and wearing a latex scar patch to aid in healing the scar. but not essential at all for flattening.

I had my ELCS in April this year (8 months ago: second baby/first CS) and had a 'shelf' that jutted out above the incision line. It looked like I ha an invisible pair of pants on that were too tight. Really though, it was all swelling and settled down after about 3 months. The scar is well hidden in my pubes now and just looked like a scratch, with no lumps. I'm 5'8" and weigh 9st 7lbs.

I honestly think that "saggy/bumpy" tummy is a post-natal thing and not just a CS thing.

Glad that you have had a good outcome though :)
