Had DS this afternoon after all sorts of horrendous complications, (not least a severe reaction of the induction gel and a mad dash to theatre for an aborted crash section), but he's so scrummy and I can't stop looking at him. Obv am pumped full of happy hormones but still can't quite believe what he and I survived today and that I get to keep him!
Just wanted to share really!

Thanks ladies! I know I should totally make the most of a good night's sleep before I go home to DD (2.2) tomorrow but I also know that I'll never get this time just me and him again. sigh

What a lovely post, many congratulations Grin

I had DD2 3 weeks ago & am still a little bit disbelieving that I got to be so lucky twice. It's an amazing feeling, cherish every moment.

Sorry to hear your labour was bad, hope your recovery is short.

OP you said "aborted crash section" do I take that to mean it didn't happen after all?

The same thing happened to DS2 and me nearly 3 weeks ago. Reaction to pessary, baby's heart rate dipped, rushed to theatre, told I'd need a crash section, baby managed to right himself, phew!

Congratulations! It's the BEST feeling in the world isn't it Grin Grin Grin

I love that first night lying next to a new baby when you can't take your eyes off them.
Congrats.
