SEX!

My DD1 is 17 days old and I had a 2nd degree tear which is taking ages to heal. I'm breast feeding exclusively.

Am I unusual in that I want to have sex with DH as soon as possible? It's frustrating me that my tear is healing so slowly.

When did you first have sex again after having a baby?

I was still having problems walking properly after 17 days! (deep 2nd degree tear in my case) think it was 10 weeks before we did the deed. Prob could have done it sooner but didn't feel brave enough...

Two years. 4th degree tear, 4 operations. Not pleasant.

I think you'll be fine though Grin

I was trying 10 days after ds. 3rd degree tear and a few 2nd degree as well. Needless to say it wasn't happening for the discomfort. Wasn't long before we could brave it again tho Grin

It's the tedium of child rearing i'm afraid, inspires interest long term sleep deprivation will soon knock that one on the head.

7 weeks, 2nd degree tear. A little tentative! But 2 days later totally fine!

Hang in there!

No tears, no cuts and no stitches but still took me 5 months - too knackered and overwhelmed and couldn't have been less interested at that point in time!!!

Good on you for thinking about it - I'm in the sw11 camp too, took a good few months to even half fancy it!
Hope you heal quickly, and can get back to what is normal for you

Jeeez! I mean good for you that you want it. But there is No Way On This Earth that DH was getting any action for a Very Long Time ;-)

couple of weeks, no tears at all here. I was lucky, but still a little uncomfortable, have to be gentle the first few times with me.

2 weeks exactly. I only had a 'graze' though and it was fine. Did hurt a wee bit, but nothing really bad.

2nd degree tear, and a long graze and we back in the saddle at 4 weeks. The tear was fine but the graze stung the first few times. As PP have said, get him to be gentle the first few times, it will feel a little different

At 17 days, it isn't taking ages to heal I'm afraid.

It is great you are feeling so up for it, but I'd wait until everything is healed before you start. If you do and it hurts, it can be very upsetting.

It was about 6 weeks with DD1, and a lot longer with DD2.
