Well back in December 2010 some of you lovely lot really helped me along whilst in labour with DD2...

Today it's dc3 (gender unknown) due date...

So, although Im not having a planned home birth this time, I will still be labouring along with you lot, if you'll have me smile

Marks place, good luck!

Flosie1989 Mon 20-Aug-12 11:37:32

Good luck! I look forward to hearing when things get moving! grin

fuckbadger Mon 20-Aug-12 13:31:01

Ooh good luck! How many weeks were you when dc1 and dc2 were born? I think we should start placing bets on when this one will arrive!

MakeTeaNotWar Mon 20-Aug-12 13:33:45

Marking place - also planning a homebirth for 5 weeks so very keen to hear how it all goes!

OnlyWantsOne Mon 20-Aug-12 13:58:37

Both the girls came at term + 2

1st labour 4 hours "established labour" 10 mins 2nd stage

2nd labour 14 hours "established labour" 4 mins 2nd stage

Both back to back. Both still little terrors.

Have a MW appt later. She wants to give me a "good hard sweep" - I told her no thanks!!!

MakeTeaNotWar Mon 20-Aug-12 14:03:59

Second labour longer?! Eek! I'm also on no 2 and had assumed this one would fly out!

OnlyWantsOne Mon 20-Aug-12 14:12:52

Oh don't worry - my second labour was badly managed and probably would have gone like the 1st if I had been helped (ie given a drink and some pain relief)

Flosie1989 Tue 21-Aug-12 12:31:54

How are you feeling OnlyWantsOne ?

TaggieCampbellBlack Tue 21-Aug-12 12:34:30

That was never 2010. Seems like 5 minutes ago. And how did i miss you getting upduffed again?

Anyway. Good luck! It will be fine. Shall we do some relaxing breathing and visualisation?

PeahenTailFeathers Tue 21-Aug-12 19:02:30

<settles on sofa with pringles> Good luck - I'm excited for you! Hope you make us all jealous by having a sneeze birth thanks.

fuckbadger Tue 21-Aug-12 19:55:07

I'm thinking Thursday will be the day and dc3 is a girl!

OnlyWantsOne Tue 21-Aug-12 21:41:20

I'm feeling very achey and the braxtons now hurt.

Really don't feel prepared AT ALL to do this again!!!

Indith Tue 21-Aug-12 21:43:48

Oooh well I'll be off to bed soon with the baby and I'm out in the morning. Can you wait til afternoon for the live labour please?

Sounds like it is hotting up though smile

GnocchiNineDoors Tue 21-Aug-12 22:36:04

Ooh ramping up

You can do it! «digs out pom poms and a vuvu zela to cheer you on»

OnlyWantsOne Wed 22-Aug-12 07:32:02

Spent most of the night having cramps - painful enough to hurt but not labouring yet. Dull. Shall pack DP off to work much to his disgust and entertain the dc !!

Flosie1989 Wed 22-Aug-12 08:14:22

Ooh how exciting! Sounds like your heading in the right direction!

fuckbadger Wed 22-Aug-12 08:16:44

Ooh how exciting! I was like that for a few days with dc2 but when labour properly started it was really quick! I stand by my prediction of a girl tomorrow grin

Flosie1989 Wed 22-Aug-12 08:21:31

I think you could be right about tomorrow fuckbadger although im guessing boy....

OnlyWantsOne Wed 22-Aug-12 08:22:30

Is it normal to be utterly terrifed that some thing will go wrong?

Flosie1989 Wed 22-Aug-12 08:25:50

Ah of course it is onlywantsone I think every mother about to give birth has these fears whether it's their first baby or not.

Just remind yourself that it's a normal natural process and it's what our bodies are meant to do.

Is your DP your only birth partner?

OneOfMyTurnsComingOn Wed 22-Aug-12 08:27:43

Ooh! Just seen this thread! It's looking imminent! Good luck, you'll be fine smile

OnlyWantsOne Wed 22-Aug-12 08:30:52

Yes DP is only one this time
- he has strict instructions ;)

Was booked in to local MLC birth centre but am having a wibble and think I want to go to the hospital MLC delivery suite instead.
