Ingrowing hair in c-section scarline

Hello all, I had my first CS for DD2 four months ago (April 19th). My scar has healed beautifully; gone from a red to a pink line and no issues ... except I now have an ingrowing hair (I think) right in the middle of the scar. I'm dark-haired ans prone to them. It's a raised red bump that wasn't there before yesterday and feels tender and slightly warm to touch.

Anyone else experience ingrowing hairs in their section scars? If so, how'd you get rid of them?

TIA,

MammaT

I have a recurrent in growing hair in my scar line. I normally leave it a while then tweezer the hair out when it becomes visible on squeezing. Tmi I know! It's been fine until I got heavily pregnant again, I know it's there but can't get a good enough view of it at mo...

I don't have any experience of this, but could you maybe have these pesky hairs lasered? I think that kills them eventually doesn't it?

I get ingrowing hairs sometimes between bikini waxes. As long as this wouldn't sting too much on your scar it might work for you? (works for me) - put tea tree oil neat on a cotton wool pad and hold it on the red/raised spot. After doing this a few times, the spot will dry to a scab and you can tweezer the hair out.

Thanks all for your advice!! Belly I usually squeeze n' tweeze, but I can't actually see the hair :( duchesse Yup, laser hair removal is a long-term solution to consider, but I do need to remove the swelling/tenderness, like, now! Whatsoever I'll give tea tree oil a try, thanks. My scar isn't sore, just the bit with the ingrowing hair. Drying it out spuds just the ticket.

Thanks again,

MammaT

I usually use payot pate grise on ingrown hairs, it seems to draw the hair to the surface somehow. I have a scar on my lip that got them periodically for ages until the scar had fully healed. The other thing I found helpful was rosehip oil - it made the scar heal faster.

Thanks justcait: is payot pate gris anything like magnesium sulphate paste? I've been using that in conjunction with neat tea tree oil and the swelling has subsided. No hair in sight, though ...

Thanks,
