There really isn't a 'sign' until it kicks off I'm afraid! I'm 39 weeks today and have convinced myself this baby is never coming out as there's just NOTHING to say it's nearing the end! If you don't want a sweep, don't consent to one - just be prepared to be a bit more open to one at 41+5 Wink

Am 40+2, no signs at all. Have booked a sweep for next Friday, as would rather have that than a full on induction. Am hoping for a "bolt out of the blue" type thing. Had a long build-up with DD so not used to no signs that anything is happening at all. Good luck!

At 40+12 with DD1 I was desperate for a home birth and to avoid induction - so i tried refelxology (amoung many other thigns!) I did start labour naturally that same day (and had my lovely home birth)- although who knowns if I would have anyway. But if you feel like I felt, you will try anything!!

this is my second baby, and i have my mum cames to help me from the 30th of may but she has to go back on the 30 july, i am just hopping that i will give a birth while she is still in england. oh, i am really getting stressed about it now.
i will be in my own if she is gone as my husband is working and no one to look after my ds1 if anything happen in the day time while my husband at work.
