Polyp right at the point where I'm likely to tear...

I had to put some anusol on earlier and as I'm 39+4 this was not the easiest thing to do but anyway because of the awkward position I was in it allowed me to see that I have a polyp from when I tore with DD 18months ago. I previously had an episiotomy (which had to be repeated 6 mo after he was born 4y ago) with DS so I have alot of scar tissue but didn't know about the polyp until earlier.

I'm planning a home birth but am now wondering if the polyp means I won't be able to 'stretch' and will need assistance? Anyone got any experience of this or has any advice?

Not sure re the polyp, but scar tissue itself if not able to stretch in the same way as normal tissue, but the surrounding tissue should stretch OK.
The polyp is presumably in one area so the rest around it should be normal and stretch. Ask your MW asap though to put your mind at rest.
