Ok well im so fed up with this now so basically i had a bloody show 11days ago for 3 days then it stopped for a day then started for a day then nothing till last night when it started again but bit heavier. Every time it starts midwife says it means im starting but nothing ever happens.

Im starting to think this baby is never going to come.

Not much point to post really just fed up :(

Poor you! What's your EDD? Are you overdue already?

I know how you feel - I've had cramping on and off for 6 days but it won't turn into anything 'real' - v frustrating Sad

2nd june so still got till thursday but its just so frustrating when midwives are saying its the start then nothing happens at all. Its my third and never had this before so the unknown is driving me insane.

Sad - the last part where you are waiting is just awful.

Any show is good though - it means your cervix is slowly starting to change.

Was there lots of it or just a bit? I had a show on and off for a couple of weeks but when the plug fully came away it really did!

Bambino - I was like this with number 3. If it is any consolation when he actually decided to come he practically fell out in a 1.5 hour labour and a couple of pushes!

MsInterpret · 30/05/2011 10:18

That's what I was going to say peppa - maybe it'll be quick once it starts happening!

Rather that than for contractions to start in force day before EDD and DD only to be born 3 days overdue! Argh....

Thanks for replies.

sasamaxx thats what ive been like were i start getting crampy and get excited but now i just ignore it.

peppa it has kinda been bits an bobs and had some red bits which made the midwives say things were definitely happening as it means im dilating but still sitting her with a foot under my ribs. And yes it makes me feel soooo much better to hear that when labour kicks in then its nice and speedy :)

I had a 4days slow labour with my DS who was a week late and my DD was 5weeks early (she was ill thought so came early for a reason) but that ended in being put on a drip then c section anyway.

Im aiming for VBAC as well so think im just bit nervous about that as well.

Awful isn't it Bambino?
I am due on Friday. Was 4 days early last time which is the equivalent of today, but 12 DAYS LATE the first time and I may slit my wrists if I have to wait that long Wink

At least you've had some show - I haven't had any of that which probably means I haven't a chance of anything happening soon Sad

Hang in there - maybe today will be your day Smile

Hi, i'm due on the 2nd with my 3rd and had a show THREEEEEEE weeks ago! Then nowt....

I am ignoring any cramping or backache I have had in the last few days in a bid to trick the baby with a bit of reverse psychology! Grin hopefully it'll think I'm not bothered and just turn up!!!

Report
sasamaxx · 30/05/2011 10:35

Liking the reverse psychology frida - think I need to try that tactic.
Wondering if this waiting bit is worse with third babies now...

I remember with my first loving the fact i didn't know when it was going to happen but im so fed up this time and would love a timetables that lets me know the time and place hes gonna make a appearance.

I have everything crossed that your baby doesn't make you wait that long again. Lets do some positive thinking and maybe they will come, its the only thing left to do so might as well give it a go.

Haha frida thats what im doing. My DP thinks im gonna have the baby in the living room as i refuse to believe that any pain now is labour and its just the baby having a laugh on my behalf.

And it's probably worse because arranging childcare is a stress and everything has to be so carefully planned now - no more living for the moment when there are other LOs that need to be looked after when something does actually happen.

Well ive just had quite a lot (tmi alert) of pink with red bits and cramps but this is old news now and happened too many times to get excited.

My 2 1/2 year old has chicken pox and DP starts a new job tomorrow morning so im feeling very stressed at the minute so even harder to get someone to mind my other 2 at the moment.

I'll race you both and who ever gives birth first buys the cake :o

You're right sasa, having other dc's to arrange for definitely makes it even more frustrating ... I think my 5yr old thinks I've been making the whole thing up all along and I've just got enormously fat!!!

Report
frida75 · 30/05/2011 10:54

Oh and I'm deff up for a race (especially with cake involved) Smile although both my dcs were a week over so I'll still be here way in to June ... Bah!

The one thing ive learnt off many third time mums is third babies seem to go against the grain and do what they want so were all in with a chance.

I was in complete denial to the point I tried to go back home (went in for a check) - if they had let me I would have had the baby in the car. Even when he was born they had to tell me to pick him up as I was still trying to tell myself it wasnt it yet Hmm

Even though I was in a birth pool clinging to the gas and air Grin

sasamaxx · 30/05/2011 12:19

LOL OK I'm in the race - bet I come last Wink

Peppa i like being in denial because no disappointment when its another false alarm :)

sasamaxx ive got midwife tomorrow and a sweep because im going for VBAC im allowed a early one so is that cheating??? Hmm

I was meant to have it on friday but consultant changed appointment to this friday.

Well I've bounced on ball like a nutter, walked up and down stairs, cleaned baby room (full of crap room) and had a bath and all this achieved.... A very annoyed hic uping baby. I give up.

Ask your midwife really nicely and bribe with chocolate and stamp your foot and say its not fair. Well that's what I would do. :o

Hang on, not sure if this sweep business is fair!! I've got mw on weds and I doubt I'll get one Envy - can't believe I used an envious face about such a yuck procedure!!

BUT I am seeing acupuncturist tomorrow who is amazing (turned this baby from breach 6 weeks ago using needles and a big cigar type thing next to my little toe...) I have several friends who've been started off by her so ... game on!

Wow - you 2 are so going to have babies tomorrow and I will still be here in 2 weeks.
Going to get the ball out after giving dinner to the kids and eat pineapple on it to see if the multitasking helps.
