Baby was moving very actively all afternoon and evening but not 'struggling' as far as I could sense. Now no movement. Surely waters going would wake him up?? have texted Ind MW. Waters were clear, ahve no contractions but maybe a bit of dull pain low down.

please please tell me this is ok and he will rouse soon.

reshape I'm sure everything is fine! however, if you're this worried you could go to the hospital to be monitored?

Keeping everything crossed for you!

Have called and spoken to MW, she seems v calm and reassuring and certianly not phoning ambulance because she was worried. I did feel him bump me very gently while on the phone but not since then. AM still fretting tbh. SHe is coming over within the hour ro check me out. Nasty night to drive in!

Thanks, am just a bit scared. First labour was induced, no experience of this.

Me neither (both my waters were broken artificially), but I'm glad MW got back to you. It's easy for me to say don't worry, but I just wanted to say hello. I do recall very little movement from my DSs in early labour.

Is it definiteley a he?

All the very best x

Thanks Jamie, really reassuring! Smile He is a he, yes! He did move gently again a few ins back so I am trying not to fret. V minor period pains but not anything regular or remarkable.

Why are you up? Smile

dd was manic the day before my waters went, then nothing for the next day - nothing at all.
she showed up eventually, hale & hearty, obviously just resting up before the big event.

best of luck.

Insomniaaaaaagh !!!

I have a "bit of a chest" and as soon as I lie flat I start hacking (poor me Wink).

So have you got someone on call to look after DC1, and/or are you planning a home birth? Am weirdly excited on your behalf although I well remember the worry of the second birth.... Wish someone more knowledgeable would come on as I am a little hazy on the details. Last one was 7 years ago.

Hope everything is okay. Excellent you didn't have to be induced the second time makes there think there is hope for me.

Fuchzia - I didn't have to be induced second time either - and had a Vbac - HTH

Reshape - I have to go and get some sleep now, but will be thinking about you and your boy. x

Yup! SmileSmile He is moving now, slowly but surely. I have woken poor little bugger up! Grin

Phew. Thank god. I am totally paranoid about stillbirth, has happened to two good friends of mine, and also on my antenatal thread very recently. Sad

Jamie, yuk, tis the season to be hacking.

PLanning HB, yes. But snowy conditions mean parents unlikely to be able to get here to take DS. He has just woken and now in bed with DH, trying to get him back to sleep and cot. Am downstairs next to tree, MNing and thinking I really ought to get some rest myself!

Fuzchi, why were you induced the first time? I was for hypertension but think I was nearly there.

If the MW is OK with it, then I'm sure its fine.

When my waters broke, (4.30pm) I thought I'd just wet myself, then had spicy food for dinner a few hours later (8pm-ish) after unloading new furniture from the truck, then thought I was experiencing Braxton Hicks, (9-ish) then by 10 I knew I was in labour but thought I had loads of time, at 11 I was yelling to DH to ring the MW, who got there at midnight and DD was born at 2.30am. Not much in the movement though; nothing that indicated after waters broke that I was heading to labourville.

My waters went in the midddle of the night. I then felt very little movement at all. I had home birth but did have to wait until 6am thenext day as labour didn't get going for ages. Ivwas mning for a lot of that time!

Good luck. Hope the mw arrives soon to reassure you. (I am up because dd1 has just had a dream and I know dd2 will wake up for sone milk because she always does around 4 and so can't getvack to sleep!)

Good luck to you!
Waters went all three times before going into hospital. Only time had contractions first was with dd1. With the other two there was little movement until things started properly happening.

A baby does rest once labour starts. They have a tough ride ahead of them and their naturally go quiet so they are ready for the big push so to speak..

Good Luck x

Fell asleep whilst feeding DS then overslept massively! Yes Reshape Drs said my blood pressure wouldn't come down and induced me but it did of course. Really hope all is going well. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Sorry to abandon this thread! MW made me turn interwebs off, said it was engaging my thinking brain and not letting my monkey brain do the labour stuff! Grin

Anyway, DS2 (no name!) born v fast at 10.25 monday! Less than 2 hrs between established labour starting and birth. Was a bit shaky because of scary speed but fine now, as is baby, who is wonderful. Smile

Thanks so much for keeping watch with me. Smile
