Extreme tiredness before onset of labour?

I'm 39 weeks pregnant and am suddenly feeling really really tired! I've had energy throught the pregnancy but the last 2 days I have just wanted to sleep, could this be a sign labour is imminent?! I should know this is my 3rd but I honestly can't remeber how I was feeling at this stage with the last 2!

I had that before dd was born, don't know if it was s sign of labour approaching or just a coincidence. I was at the point where pushing ds in the buggy was almost beyond me. I remember going into a cafe to have someting to eat as I thought I was about to collapse then I couldn't push the buggy back to the bus stop to go home, a little old couple who had seen me in the cafe followed me when I left and took the buggy off me Blush dd arrived the next morning :)

Good luck!

I was the same the day before ds arrived. I felt great all through the pg, worked right up to my due date and had loads of energy until that one day where I just wanted to sleep all day. My waters broke that night and ds arrived 4 hours later!

Gosh - I could have put the exact same post up. Am 39 weeks today, am on the verge of tears all day and feel so tired it is unreal. Had a sweep this morning and am very favourable and good to go at any time apparently according to my obs. Having twinges on and off all afternoon and am wondering if this is the start of things....

batsforlashes you had a sweep?! How did you get them to give you one?! With DS I had one at 40 weeks but this time the midwife has told me they won't give one til 41 weeks, argh!!!

I had ds3 just over a week ago. On the wednesday evening I was knackered and went to bed really early. Woke up in the night in labour :)

But don't remember feeling like that with my other 3. I had bags of energy just before labour!

Wintersnow- I am not in the UK and am a private patient with my obs so I think they are a little more flexible than the mw's on the NHS from what I have been reading here.

I'm 41+1 weeks today and have felt utterly knackered for the last fortnight. I've had it. But not in labour, not even close. I was due to have a sweep both a week ago and yesterday but my cervix still too long and closed. Expecting to have elcs on Friday (decided against induction due to previous emcs).

Hopefully I'm not representative and you are about to drop! Good luck Grin
